Laird Apparel launches at Ron Robinson
Posted on March 22 2019

After 30 years as a sponsored athlete, Hamilton made the decision to start his own apparel company. As a waterman and fitness expert, the surfing champion modeled his line for function first. Subsequently, the mission of Laird Apparel is to provide the clothing for every aspect of his life, from offshore to beach and from gym to relaxation. The brand is a comprehensive collection of functional, technically crafted and performance-based products, from jackets and sweatshirts to board shorts and pants. The line will be sold exclusively at Ron Robinson—where the launch party took place, incidentally—and Tarzan Stand Up Paddle Boards in Redondo Beach, Calif.
Hamilton, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and family man who lives in Malibu, was joined at the fete by wife Gabrielle Reece, as well as a slew of famous faces such as Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Kenny Chesney, Sacha Baron Cohen, Rande Gerber, John C. McGinley, Baron Davis, Mehcad Brooks, Slater Trout, Rory Kennedy and Rick Rubin.
Guests at the fete enjoyed a first look at the collection while sipping on speciality cocktails by Casamigos (Gerber’s tequila company with pal George Clooney), Einstok Beer, coffee from Laird Superfood, water from Aloe Gloe and tasty organic bites.
